About Christi, MS, E-RYT-500, CPT


Christi Gleason grew up in northern NJ, just outside of New York City.   She started dance and piano lessons at the age of 3, which she continued through high school and college.  Her teaching "career" started in 1990, when she started teaching kids dance classes at her hometown dance studio.  Christi left NJ in 1993 to attend college at American University in Washington, DC, where she majored in International Business and European Regional Studies, with minors in German and French.  During her freshman year of college, she became certified to teach step aerobics and started conducting classes at various gyms in Washington, DC.  She remained in DC for 5 years and then was married in

1998, at which time she relocated to Aiea, HI.  During her 3-year stay in Hawaii, she served as Group Exercise Coordinator for 24-Hour Fitness.  Christi relocated several times, spending a year in Georgia, two years in Colorado, and three years in Connecticut.  During these years, Christi worked as a group fitness instructor, personal trainer, and also held a position as Fitness Director for Gold's Gym.   Christi completed her Master's Degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion at California University of Pennsylvania.  She moved to Ballwin, MO in October 2007.                                         

In January 2008, Christi accepted a position as a personal trainer for The Center of Clayton, and was offered the position of Fitness Supervisor in April 2008, where she worked full-time until February 2014.  Throughout her tenure at The Center of Clayton, Christi continued instructing at various locations throughout the St. Louis area, including Gold's Gym, the Missouri Athletic Club,

She also earned her MBA from Fontbonne University in 2013.  Since her true love remained teaching and training students, Christi decided to resign her position at The Center of Clayton in order to return to teaching full-time.  Christi has been teaching approximately 30 hours a week since that time and loves every minute.   She finally decided to work towards open Longevity Wellness Center in order to spend less time driving and more time on the path of healing.  Longevity Wellness Center emerged from Christi's boundless love of people.  She feels that everyone has a right to be active and seeks to provide a friendly and supportive environment to all of her students.  Her greatest satisfaction comes from watching her students look within themselves for happiness as well as seeing them discover their own strength.
